October 24th review Apple fast

Today's review is based on the famous "apple fast" method for treating acne. As you may or may not know, the guy promising the 'acne cured in 3 days' is selling an ebook in which he tells you how to perform an organic apple fast to cure acne. Sounds like a rip-off right ?
Well I wouldnt be so sure..
Of course, it's not the end of all cures, but it does have some hidden merit here and there.

The concept behind the apple fast is that acne forms due to having a toxic build-up due to improper digestion. When bowel movements are unable to clean the system, the only way to evacuate the toxins is through the skin. The apple cure makes you eat apples for 3 days, and because apples are extremely high in fiber, it cleans out your digestive system better than any other fruit.

So how does it work?
Obviously this isnt a long term solution, even though the author claims it to be. If anything, it could be a used as a tool to assist you in fighthing acne.
The first thing that happens when you start eating a ton of apples is that you'll notice that you become hungry... very hungry. It's as if your stomach goes into overdrive to process all the apples, but there's nothing really to process because apples go through your system quite rapidly. I believe this is why the apple fast works so well... your digestive system is put into overdrive and has nothing huge to process, so it ends up processing all the crap that's been left over in the past.

Day 1-2-3 of the apple fast

At the end of the first day, you should start having some serious bowel movements. In fact, if you don't go to the washroom 2-3 times, I'd be really surprised. Although at first it feels forced, after you start getting rid of all the build-up, it actually feels quite relieving. The problem is that you need to continue for 2 more days.
In day 2, your stomach starts to feel WEIRD. Obviously, we weren't meant to sustain this on an on-going basis, but I didnt really enjoy even the temporary discomfort. It was tolerable and quite unlikely that I was going to hurt myself doing this... so I proceeded.

Day 3, you know, I actually starting feeling a bit better, as if my body was adjusting to the apple only diet. At this point, I have to say my bowel movements were not very solid... which I think was just a sign that it was just the apples passing through.

How did my skin react to the apple fast?

Obviously, the main question on everyone's mind is: did it work ? Well... yes and no.
Allow me to explain. The fast did help in clearing out all excess build-up in my system, and while that was happening, my skin became paler, and I have to say I didnt look too good... I even broke out a bit. However, after day 2-3, things seemed to subside quite a bit and any blemishes quickly started fading. It's amazing how fast your body can work sometimes. After 3 days, I looked like I had just stayed inside my house and gone through a 3 day apple fast.. which was what I did. I can't say I looked much better than before I started, but it was an amazing experience in terms of cleaning out my body.

Aftermath

An important note! You have to SLOWY start eating normal foods after you stop the apple fast. Don't go eat anything pasty, or that will clog your system worse than before.
Anyhow, a few days after the fast, my skin was very irratic and seemed to react to everything I ate. Some sort of hypersensitivity. It was really weird. Overall, I have to say the skin got a little better, but nothing close to the claims made in the ebook. I suppose that if you followed everything to the letter (which I pretty much did... but deviated only slightly), I might of gotten slightly better results. However, this is impractical and almost impossible to do.

If anything, I DID learn something from this... that digestion is very important and that eating 1-2 apples per day is a great thing to help fight acne.
